Proven quality and precision – now also in digital model fabrication

The new D-PI 300 pin drilling unit is a revolution in dental technology thanks to its advanced engineering and modern design.

The D-PI 300 was specifically developed for drilling Baumann Dental 3D direct-print working models – precision models can be produced quickly and easily. Conventional plaster working models can also be drilled.

The state-of-the-art drilling mechanism is coordinated with a dental system solution and is therefore unique. It achieves optimum drilling precision and performance, enabling reliable, efficient work with comfortable operation.

With its unique advantages and as part of a complete, highly precise model fabrication system, the D-PI 300 pin drilling unit clearly stands out from other pin drilling units on the market.

Drilling of 3D direct-print working models
To ensure pin friction, identical, smooth-walled and uniform drill holes are created in the 3D direct-print working models. The precise guidance of the unique drilling mechanism also guarantees a consistent drilling depth. The revolutionary functional features ensure precise, fast and economical model fabrication – saving both time and costs.

Health in everyday laboratory work
The pin drilling unit is equipped with a direct connection for extraction systems with automatic activation to remove drilling debris. By directly printing the saw cuts in the software, the need for subsequent grinding work is reduced, resulting in a significantly healthier working environment due to reduced dust exposure.

Magnetic clamping with large suction opening
The drilling process is triggered via foot switch. The plate carrier is magnetically fixed, the extraction system is activated and the drilling position is securely stabilized. Dust-free working is ensured via the suction opening.

Laser
Precise drilling alignment is achieved via a class 1 precision laser beam. Class 1 lasers are considered safe under “reasonably foreseeable conditions and intended use.” This means that the emitted power is very low or the laser system is enclosed in such a way that no radiation can escape. Conventional systems typically use class 2 lasers. This class is often underestimated, as exposure times exceeding 0.25 seconds can result in permanent eye damage.

Display
Individual parameters can be adjusted via the touch display. In addition, two preprogrammed standard programs are available for resin and plaster. Drill changes and cleaning pauses can be easily selected and performed via the menu. Before drilling, all selected parameters are clearly displayed in the overview.

Connection port (40 mm) for extraction system & HR connect interface to D-LE 255 S/SB

Foot switch connection
The drilling process is conveniently triggered via foot switch. The plate carrier is magnetically fixed, the extraction system is activated and the drilling position is securely stabilized. Dust-free working is ensured via the suction opening.

Tool-free drill change
The drill change is initiated by pressing the TOOL CHANGE button. No additional tools are required. The drill motor moves into the tool change position. Once this position is reached, the drill can be changed by pulling the knob on the rear of the device out to the stop.

USB interface for updates
Updates can be installed via the USB interface.
