Centering Aid for Arto XP
For defined preload of the condylar axes in centric relation
The centering aid is used to set a defined preload on the condylar axis or condylar ball of Arto articulators. After using the centering aid, the centric relation of the articulator can be correctly adjusted and calibrated.
Application / Working Procedure
1. Insert the centering aid between the condylar axes.
2. Insert the angled incisal guidance table.
3. Loosen the set screws (grub screws) of the axis holders.
4. Manually align the upper part of the articulator to the center; the incisal pin is positioned at the lowest point of the angled incisal guidance table and thus defines the centric relation.
5. Tighten the set screws with the articulator correctly aligned.
6. The preload is now set; calibration can then be carried out using the centering key.
Areas of Application
- After work or repairs on axes or condyles
- After disassembly and reassembly
- As a check prior to adjusting and calibrating the articulator
